Privacy Policy

The short version: we ask for an email address for the newsletter, and for contact details only when you send us an enquiry. We keep a record of which listings get clicked. There are no ad networks, nothing is sold, and everything we hold is listed below.

Who we are

TRX CENTRAL (TRX Central) operates the website at trxcentral.com and the TRX Central mobile app for iOS and Android. Questions about this policy go to privacy@trxcentral.com.

What we collect

The newsletter is not running yet. Until it is switched on, the signup form accepts an address but nothing is stored and no mail is sent. The paragraph below describes how it will work once it is live; this notice comes down on the day it does.

Your email address, if you subscribe. If you submit the newsletter form, the address is stored with Resend, the email service that sends our updates. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

What you send us in an enquiry. The concierge search, the contact form and the sponsor enquiry form send us what you type into them, and we store it in our database so we can answer you. Depending on the form that is: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, your message, and — for a concierge search — your budget, your timeline, whether you are financing, and whether you ticked the box saying we may text you. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. There is no form on this site that requires you to give us any of this; if you do not send an enquiry, we hold none of it.

Which marketplace listings get clicked. When you click through from a listing card to a dealer, we record the listing, the page you came from, your IP address and the city/region/country our host derives from it. It tells us which trucks people actually open, and it is the only way to tell a working marketplace from a broken one. It is not tied to a name or an email, it is not used to build an advertising profile, and it is never sold. Under GDPR and CCPA an IP address plus a coarse location is personal data, so we say so here rather than filing it under “analytics”. These rows are kept for 24 months and then deleted.

Your app profile, which never leaves your device. When you set up a handle in the mobile app, that handle and email are written to your device’s local storage. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Forum posts you write in the app are also stored locally on your device. Deleting the app, or using the delete option described below, removes them.

Standard server logs. Our host, Vercel, records ordinary request data such as IP address, timestamp, and requested URL in order to serve pages and blunt abuse. We do not build profiles from these logs.

Aggregate page traffic. The website runs Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, referrers and broad device/country buckets. It sets no cookie, does not follow you between sites, and does not identify you. It is not loaded at all inside the mobile app.

What we do not do

  • No advertising networks and no ad tracking.
  • No cross-site tracking, no third-party trackers, and no tracking cookies. The one analytics script on the website is Vercel’s cookieless page-view counter, described above.
  • No selling, renting, or trading of personal information.
  • No location tracking, contacts access, microphone, or camera access. The app requests none of these permissions.
  • No passwords and no user accounts on our servers. Your app profile stays on your device.

Service providers

  • Vercel — website and API hosting, plus the cookieless Web Analytics page-view counter.
  • Neon — the managed Postgres database that holds enquiries and the listing-click log.
  • Resend — newsletter delivery, the subscriber list, and the notification emails our enquiry forms send.
  • Wikimedia Commons — the freely licensed photos in the gallery are served from Commons, so loading a gallery page makes a request to their servers.
  • Retailers — the mod database links out to third-party retailers. Once you follow a link you are on their site and their privacy policy applies.

Deleting your data

In the app:open the More tab and choose “Delete account & data.” This erases your profile, your locally stored forum posts, and the offline cache from the device immediately. It clears the device only — if you have also sent us an enquiry from the app, that enquiry sits in our database and is removed on request, below.

Enquiries and click records: write to privacy@trxcentral.com and we will delete everything we hold that is tied to you — enquiry rows and any click rows matching your IP — within 30 days, and confirm when it is done.

Newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to privacy@trxcentral.com and we will remove the address.

Wherever you live, you may ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. We do not charge for either, we do not require an account to make the request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

TRX Central is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, write to privacy@trxcentral.com and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the effective date above changes with it and the revision will be posted on this page.
